About this event

Every two years, Denison University’s Department of Music collaborates with musicians, composers, fine artists, dance artists, theatre, and creative people across genres to present the TUTTI Original Works Festival, a days-long celebration of original works. And in-between TUTTI Festivals, the Department of Music collaborates across the arts to bring you tiny TUTTI Festival, a 2-day event celebrating the arts with this musical term "TUTTI," taken from the Italian for all together.

This event is open to Denison Students, Faculty and Staff and is in the Eisner Center, Sharon Martin Hall. Advanced tickets are required.

Composers’ Collaborative Watch Party with Third Coast Percussion is a tiny TUTTI collaboration between Music Department students, faculty, and one of our ensembles- in-residence. Composition students will present a jointly composed work, guided by Professor Zachery Meier and improvisationally realized by performance faculty and students. The student composition draws inspiration from the work of composer, Danny Clay, as well as from the text of Juan Rulfo’s beautiful novel, Pedro Paramo.

The second half of the concert will be a watch-party viewing of a specially created Third Coast Percussion video recording, made for the Denison community as a complement to the student composition. Audience members might also be interested to know that the Rulfo text will be presented again the following evening during the performance of Tejido de Voces/Woven Voices, highlighting yet new and different artistic interpretations of the same text.
